I hope alright to post again for when we are running these event's. Open to anyone in need of some food who is in need. This is put on by my Church and we buy the trucks from Northern Illinois Bank. Please pass on to anyone who may be in need in these times of need for many.

When: Friday, February 10th 2012 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Where: Foss Park Community Center 1730 Lewis Ave. North Chicago
Why: To reach out as The Body of Christ and provide some Food for the bodies and Hope for the souls of those that are in a season of need


This will be a inside event for those who asked last time, any question please feel free to PM me.

Open to anyone in need of some food who is in need. This is put on by my Church and we buy the trucks from Northern Illinois Bank. This will be a inside event.

Serving time is between 5-7pm

just a heads up as I am headed out we are expecting a very large turn out due to weather being so nice more people are able to access us. Best wishes everyone and pray those whom need to be served are fulfilled.

I will note that let me see what we can pull together if there is a need out that way for one. Lots go into these I will be sure to pass that on. We are only allowed in certain area's we do have a Hinsdale chapter is that by chance near by?
 
Short update, something went very wrong with our drive last night we could have fed 300 families only total 37 came and that was alot of us loading our cars up and bringing it directly to people who we knew personally.

I just want everyone to know if you need it you need it we don't ask anything else so please be sure to pass the word. Was very strange as in four years of doing them we always have maxed out .

Not sure if the nicer weather brought more people back to work and such or need had slowed down which would be wonderful. We always have seniors and families with little ones as regulars to help lessen the strain and none to be had.
 
Morkie I'm hoping that there is just less in need........................not sure it's true, but also not sure why such a low turn out. :9: So what do you do with all the extra food?
 
Morkie, you should come to Mchenry co. they are usually turning folks away since they run out fast over here....if you want more info. pm me...it is def. closer to lake county than the Hinsdale area....Thanks again for all you do...it's people like you that make the difference!
 
Thank you. I would think there is a need because I'm in Des Plaines and on a limited income so I have used the local services. The local ones always have long lines. Willow Creek is the best but it's hard to get to by bus. Anyway will probably be going to WI sometime this year, too high rent, taxes here. Our (DH&me) families live up there.
