Do you have a favourite scientist?
I personally like Brian Cox because I feel like he takes a difficult field of science and makes it accessible and understandable to people not from a science or academic background. When he does TV shows or tours with his lectures I think it makes physics interesting to all the audience.

One of my favourite scientists in Marie Curie. She was one of the pioneers in researching the use of radioactive isotopes in healthcare. I admire that she put herself at risk of radiation exposure to do her reaserch, which ultimately led to her death but she did it for the good of science. As far as I know she is one of the only, if not the only woman to have won 2 Nobel prizes.

My niece is a scientist so she's my favorite. She's doing research right now to help find a cure for Parkinson's disease because her grandmother had it. She tells us about some of the things they do...such as dissecting rats.
