ESPN Writer Offended Lin, fired

I think this is one of the rare instances that I think ESPN were right to punish the editor, it was so blatantly and clearly racist and he still decided to run it. Maybe getting fired might have been a bit too harsh but he certainly made a pretty **** big mistake and a lot of people have been fired for a lot less in the past.
 
I can swear I saw this too on the news. I was listening to the story about the trademarking of his name. I wonder why they can't seem to keep their opinions to themselves in sports today without being biased or making a racial comment. I thought people were more educated than this.
 
I definitely think he deserved to be fired. There was no need for him to make such an offensive headline even if he meant for it to be humorous.
 
There's no way it was an accident. Unless the person is a complete moron. I think the firing was just, poor time to use humor.
 
What was the headline, Ive looked through that site and cant find it. If it indeed was a racial slur then the guy deserved getting fired.
