teh emails were poorly written english and one even came in Chinese characters-the other looked russian or polish??

anyway I told ds to ignore them-( he did respond once before i told him not to)

so today I get this ebay email

what does it mean--who refunded the money??

If you didn't respond to the case, it will always be settled in favor of the buyer.

Next time this happens, respond and say "The correct item was sent, and the delivery confirmation shows it was delivered on xx/xx/xx." That is all the proof you need.

They refunded the buyer because you didn't respond, and there is no way to fix it in your favor now.

Sorry!

It seems that ebay has.

Are these messages on your ebay account itself & not just via e-mail?
Did you check the paypal account to see if anything was charged?

Wait?

It looks like Ebay paid the buyer protection claim, not you? If they didn't charge you for the refund, don't worry about it.

Anyway, ALWAYS respond to Buyer Protection claims.

my son did reply--The claims did come from ebay--but I thought it was fishy because they ( the shoes) shipped to a US address but the dispute emails were written ( the subject lines) were written in foreign text--just thought it was weird that ebay paid not me..( not that I should have paid a dime)

A lot of times foreign buyers buy through US remailers - there are a number of reshippers out of NJ and CA.

That is probably why you saw messages with Chinese characters.

As long as they didn't charge you, you are all good!

I had an incident where the buyer admitted there was nothing wrong with the item but they were smaller then anticipated. Hello they were trial size and clearly stated. She wanted to return and i refused.

Ebay sided with her and refunded her money but didnt hold it against me. Ebay is clearly for the buyers. The nuttier the better.

I have one right now who contacted me asking where their item is. I checked and according to the USPS, it was delivered on 2/26. I sent the buyer the tracking information.

I get a message back that they asked their mailman about it and are very angry.

Uh, sorry you're angry buddy but for all I know you got them and are trying to get more for free.
