I do, for example, I love a Canadian jewelry designer and maker : Anne-Marie Chagnon. And I love Avril Lavigne, a local Canadian pop star. How about you?

I support a lot of local artists through buy me a coffee site. I also use patreon but often I have to go with my own obligation. So it can have it's own limits most of the time. But it works out for me. I have to work on the crypto payments which makes sending easier across without much taxes.

A friend of mine is actually an artist. He read fine and applied arts. I have ever supported him in his work by always patronizing him.

Where I live, we have a lot of small businesses that rely on those who support them to succeed. I personally if I can and have a use for what they are selling choose to use small businesses over big corporate businesses as I know it means more to them than you thought to use them and it helps them financially as well.

I used to enjoy Pals, a local burger chain in Northeast Tennessee, as well as eat at several local upscale restaurants. By upscale, I mean they have wait staff. Anyway, I have found the good/bad with independent stuff as with mainstream.
