At this time, I'm going to have to say no. Having twins I believe automatically puts your pregnancy at higher risk, not to mention you'll have to go through childbirth twice in a short period of time.
Then there's the whole raising them. Now, I'm not saying they won't be a thrill to raise or anything, but it would be twice as expensive, the sleep deprivation would double, and it would just be twice as difficult. Not to mention they'd have to share their birthdays, which I've heard can cause quite a bit of drama. The good thing about having twins though is that if you were planning to only have two children, you'd only have to go through pregnancy and childbirth once and have it over with. Secondly, having two children in close age range or in this case, the same age range, would be good for developing their social skills. Not to mention they'd have someone they were really close to, since I've heard twins can have some special connection.
There are pros and cons to both, but personally I would prefer to have one child at a time. I know that I would be scared enough being pregnant with one baby, finding out there was two in there... Well, I don't know what I'd do.
But I'm not saying that if I were to ever have twins I wouldn't love them. I'd love them with all my heart. It's just that I would rather have one at a time for various reasons. Thankfully I don't have to worry about this at the moment.
