The Grammy awards is arguably the highest recognition that a music artist can ever get. Before this era, they were not many people that had super multiple Grammy awards. You could see musical artists that had illustrious careers having one or two Grammy awards, maximum 3.

But now, you see one person sweeping 6 awards in one year of the Grammy awards.

Why is it easier to win Grammy awards now than before?

They have commercialized everything now including the Grammy awards. It used to be an award that celebrated people that have demonstrated extreme creativity in music. But now, it is just a popularity contest award. It is given to songs that have commercial success now. That's why people don't rate it any longer.
