I am simply curious because when I went to a gathering of my high school friends a while ago, one of them mentioned that he met a girl via Tinder, an online dating application. They shared photos and contacts, then agreed to meet somewhere, and built the relationship from there.

Anyone using similar application? What do you think of it? Any bad stories behind using this kind of application?

I haven't used any dating applications in, well, years. The only one I ever used was Plenty of Fish and that relationship ended after three years. There are lots of them out there. eHarmony, Plenty of Fish ... Hell, even myspace has turned itself into somewhat of a dating site. People join groups on Facebook "looking for love," it's rather sick to be quite frank. (lol)

I heard that many peoople found their partner thanks to those dating sites but I am not going to use those kind of sites. It is a weird way to date in my opinion.

I also don't believe in this kind of dating method, but a friend really had it worked out for a while so I guess it worked for certain people. I mean, it's dangerous. Even after meeting them in real life, not knowing their background and daily lives for real, I'd be too uncomfortable to start a relationship that way.

I've signed up on a few website for kicks, just to see whats in my area and I must say its not really an app most should use.

I've used my fair share of them and I actually got into 2 relationships and had met 2 others and quite frankly the relationships ended and I don't actually talk to the other two people.

I am in a relationship now with a girl I met from one of my church's small groups and it is going very well. Overall, I don't recommend dating sites.

I've been on them. For a woman it might be a good thing to try. For a man its a complete waste of time. Girls receive tons of mail and guys simply do not. If I had a dime for every girl I tried to message and never got a reply back from id be rich. For the girls this app is like a burger king menu - they can justnl swipe through and judge on looks alone. So I find those apps and sites to be an utter waste of time and effort.

Never used them, never will.
I'm never actively searching for a girlfriend, if it happens then it happens but it'll never be over a dating app
