Hmmm I dont think you need linux to set one up but i could be wrong. You just need a dedicated computer and we could connect via IP address. But I am not sure. I will check it out when I get back to my computer.

well, i set it up via the create lan server thing and i set up a dedicated server on my other computer and put the ip in gamespy on this computer. it found it through gamespy fine and it let me connect just fine, but i am on a lan. when i asked jhowse to test it out he said he couldnt because it was set up as a lan server....so i dunno
i'd be willing to try again if someone could provide some help
