Just wondering

How many trees does everyone put up and are they just assorted ornaments or themed trees.

We did 5 trees last year, 2 big and 3 smaller. All are themed or color related. I am thinking maybe this is too much but it is so festive.

What do you do?

Just 1 big a$$ tree!! I don't have the patience for more than one! However, I am running out of space for all the ornaments.....but I still don't think I can do another.

one tree

no theme. some cheap-o ornaments, some $$ ones and many sentimental ones. i use lots of lights too.

no room for a second tree. and if i did have room, dh would kill me lol!

Well I guess 2. 1 in the living room and DS puts 1 in his room. Now my crazy sister on the other hand puts 1 in every single room. Sorry but 11 trees in 1 house including each bathroom is just WAY to much work, Love her to pieces and so glad I live far enough away not to get a call for "help" each year

My house is so small you can barely get in the door w/the tree up so we only have ONE! :) But it does look like elves barfed in our house since I have too many decorations...LOL!

When I was younger I used to put up a second tree, It was much smaller and I would put lots of the Hallmark mini ornaments on it.

Nowadays just one tree. The past two years (with Sophie & the two cats) I've been going very minimalist on the decorations. I use multi-color lights, beaded garland, unbreakable ornaments (lots of different colored snowflakes from Target) and some tinsel. This year I'm thinking of breaking out some of the Hallmarks and adding them to the tree again. We'll see.

Everybody please take pics of your trees & post them! I love looking at Christmas tree pics. :bliss:

One... My house is too small for more than 1. Even with 1, its crowded.

I used to love tinsel.... until the cat ate it... the trail behind (pun intended) made me quit buying it. I won't even try it with this cat. Brightest he is not... Almost to the point of tying the tree up to the wall so he can not mess it up. I can not imagine what he would do with tinsel.

I wish I had room for 5 trees. It's a challenge rearranging to accommodate one tree. :surrender:

I agree. I'd love to put it in front of the picture window in the living room but have no way to secure it to the wall so that it won't topple over. (I don't want to be stringing wires to the ceiling - remember, I'm not handy.) That leaves two possible corners - both of which are currently occupied.

Garland or tinsel? Not to be a Debbie Downer....I like tinsel, very pretty on a tree........but I used to work for a vet and I have seen many kittahys die from tinsel....your kittahys may not mean to eat it but if they even get curious and happen to eat one strand....oh, not good...their intestines try to move it through which does not happen...the result is surgery which usually does not go well.

:hides: tinsel

I know, bad kitty mama. :surrender:

I promise to re-think it.

sometimes we put up 3--a slim one in the basement with cheapy $ ornaments --only kids hang out down there--so as if they really care

then a small 4 foot one dd got for her room-now goes in the landing right outside her bedroom --then "THE" tree in the living room

One tree - prelit. May or may not get ornaments on it. Lex really only cares about turning off the lights in the house and plugging the tree in.

I love how beautiful the house looks when the tree lights are on. So warm & cozy.

One tree (real) and I want the fu@ker thrown out the day after Xmas.
I find it very disruptive to have a tree in my house. When X holiday is over **** is put away.

How many of them are up already & when can we see pics?

None! I'm so far behind. I think I need to kick myself in the **** and get the big guy up by this weekend. As soon as it's up and done, I will post pictures. We do put up several, but if I don't get help from my family this year we are going to be putting gifts under a wreath.
