Do you feel that it gets to a point where you are too old for playing video games? I have been a gamer since I was 7 years old and I still enjoy gaming today. I know some of my friends who don't play video games anymore because they felt that they have outgrown that phase of their life. It's almost like they think they are somehow more mature because they don't play anymore. I don't understand it.
No. People of any age can enjoy games. For most people, there comes a point where you get bored of them, but that just depends on the individual. Came for me this year, but it might never come for some people.
I'm past the days of playing online games for hours on end, but I do still enjoy playing a game with a good story and I don't see why I'd ever stop enjoying that.
I'll be playing video games when I'm old and grey, so no; you can never get too old. Other responsibilities will lesson the time you spend playing games, however.
Some people will and some people won't. I guess it probably depends on what genre you like. Some genres have slowed down a lot and most people I know who have grown out of video games tend to like these fading genres more. Tbf they are in their 30s as well so i think real life takes over a lot more.
No, I don't think so. Different video games cater to different audiences. Call of Duty appeals to teens but Wii Sports appeals to adults. So there's always a video game for someone.
I wouldn't say you get "too old" for games- but I don't like games nearly as much as I did when I was younger, because I feel like I'm wasting my time if I play alone, and I don't really like just wasting time anymore. I feel I have to be productive. The only time I really like playing much anymore is if it's playing with someone- a social activity, if you will. So maybe I've "outgrown them" in the sense that I feel I shouldn't lounge around wasting time all the time... but no, there's no age limit to enjoy a good game.
Depends on the person. Currently, I still enjoy video games. And yet I know I don't enjoy them as much as I did when I was younger.
However, I still feel able to pick up a game, and think "Yeah. This is good". Despite the fact I've been told to grow up, I don't think that'll change for a while.
Conversely, I have two cousins, who are just roughly older than me. (The eldest is 21, going on 22 this month. The other is 20 going on 21 in October. I'll be 20 come October.)
The younger cousin still plays video games, but is more interested in kickboxing these days.
The older cousin still plays some games, but has admitted that he much prefers going out and partying, and struggles to get back into games.
Both of them pretty much played as much video games as me - we all played WoW, and such. And we always talked about video games. Now, it's really just me who is that much into them.
However, as I previously said, I don't seem to enjoy them as much - which makes me believe that I may just drop from playing some day. Sounds like my parents will get their wish!
I don't think quitting video games should result in you 'growing up'. I believe growing up would mean getting too tired for video gaming.
