Avatar - File Size Increasement

The maximum file size for avatars should be increased, it is currently at: 15KB which isn't really enough.

1-2MB would be a good size to set it too

A good work around until this is fixed, upload your avatar to an image hosting site e.g. imgur and paste the link in the box on the edit avatar page.

I'm not the best with regards to sizes of files and things but it seems that 1MB is a bit large for an avatar. Like said above if your image does seem to be a bit big then just upload it to an image hosting site

15 KB does sound a bit small for avatars. Usually good 150x150 px avatars I know/have is around 30 KB. So if we can increase the limit to around 40-50 KB, that will mean a lot. Anything bigger than that can be hosted outside the forum, I guess.

Thanks for clearing it up. I have increased the avatar size limit to 45KB

Cool stuff, i was going to add, that it is all good hosting your own avatar offsite with a custom size, but regardless the boards default settings would resize it anyway no matter what size the avatar.
