What kind of books do you prefer to read? Do you prefer to listen to an audio book or would you rather read a physical (paper) book instead? I prefer to read a real physical book rather than listening to someone else read it aloud to me.
I have tried to listen to a couple of audiobooks but I just find it hard to focus on what is being said and it's harder to keep up if you want to go slowly. What's your preference of books?
I prefer to read paper books as I tend to find that if I am doing other things while listening to an audio book I can get distracted and miss parts of the book. By having the paper books I find that I can easily re-read lines if I need to rather than having to try to rewind an audio book.
I do think that audio books are great for long car journeys though to help pass the time.
I'm not really into books that much as it is right now but if I had to pick then I'd choose an audio book because then I can sit down and just listen. I find reading for too long makes my eyes sore and it's not as nice. Besides, once I've read a book it'll just sit on a shelf whereas an audio book doesn't take up space.
I really like how convenient audio books are. You can pick up where you left on a book without needing to always be carrying a paper book around with you. I like that you can also be able to take in books while doing other things such as driving or exercise whereas reading a paperback book requires full concentration. Saying that, I do still buy my favourite books in paperback so I can reread then if I want to.
