Wildbirdy, you forgot to ask a question!
(I have several cartoons I love; my current favorite is "Futurama"; although I also love "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" and "Total Drama World Tour".)
Yes, we will give candy out to all those who wish to get treats. We usually don't get many kids. a lot the kids here go to Halloween Parties. My daughter is twelve is dressing up as a HOBO. Do you have children going trick and treating this year ? What will you or your child dressing up as?
Wow so many questions wildbirdy. lol
1. My daughter will be going out this year for Halloween, She's going as the lady of the night. Since she is 16 years old.
2.(How old is to old to go trick treating?) I think by the time you're 18-19 should be the time to end going out trick-o-treating.
3. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving until November.
4.I am a comptroller for our landscaping business. And sometimes I work out in the field as well.
Have you ever on a dare gone out trick-o-treating when you were over the age limit like in your 30's, 40's or even 50 years old? lol
Ooooooh yessssssssssssssssssss, it was funny and fun, I went along with my daughter and her friend, they begged me to dress up about 3 years ago. that would have put me around the 43 year old mark. I dressed up as the Energizer Bunny. LOL!!!! I wish I had a picture but I don't . Never did that since. I did it to cheer up my daughter and her friend. My daughter lives with a life threatening illness. Her friend is without a Mother. She lives with her Dad. Her Dad is a very good parent. He. loves his daughter with all his heart, mind and soul.
Do you sneak treats from your kids Halloween bags or buckets, when they are not around or looking?
Yes I have done that. When my kids were in school, and I am craving for a sweet treat I've taken a few pieces of their candy. lmaoo
I figure if we pay for their costumes and walk for hours with them that night we should get something out of it, and taking a few pieces of candy won't hurt them.
Yes we do buy pumpkin the odd time for a pie. Mostly we just buy a pumpkin pie from the store bakery if we desire one
What is the name of the last dessert you ate?
I'm usually more concerned with the umami aspects of a beef-barley soup; generally I start with a beef-bone, add beef broth and finish up with lots of mushrooms. I like to add the barley dry to the soup, rather than cooking it beforehand; then I simmer half the veg and everything else together for a couple of hours. I finish off with the other half of the vegetables, simmering maybe ten minutes more till they're just done, because I like some texture to my barley soups.
Last Birthday, I like the flowers growing in the wild or in my flowerbed, not sent to me, because my cats also like them . tipped over vases and scurried cats.
Do you use pearl barley?
Yep. I don't believe I've ever gone looking for the de-hulled type, and I'm always suspicious of the nutritional value of anything labelled "quick cooking", so I always use the pearled.
