I see the need in desperate situations. However, though, it seems like the thrill of gaming is the mystery. I mean, I don't want to rush to IGN or YouTube for every little struggle I have.
Not exactly but I do try to avoid them as much as possible to ensure that I can actually enjoy the game as much as possible. I do agree that cheat guides ruin a bit of the game but there are times when you really do need it to progress in the game.
Not really. I hardly ever use them but sometimes you just get stuck in a game and you have to look it up so as not to get very frustrated, or you miss a secret/collectible and want to know where it is etc. As for cheats, I only really use them to fool around in games, never for serious gaming and in any case I could live without them.
In my opinion, It destroys the thrill and challenge the game has to offer. I never cheated in all the games i played. I never read walkthrough guides as well just to clear the game faster. And even in offline pc games like Grand Theft Auto, I always play them seriously... following the story line and clearing missions without cheating.
there does come a time after an hour of running about in a circle going crazy wondering is the game was worth 50bucks then thats when you use a walkthrough guide as i like to call it . cheat guides is a bit strong of a label lol
