I know there a lot of creative people in this forum, so I am hoping for some great ideas for football "Senior Night". The team mom asked anyone for suggestions and I looked on-line, but there isn't much out there.
Thanks for you time and I really appreciate any information!
PS My dh made banners similar to the first pic for the teams for the soccer teams when my boys were senior--he is thinking of doing them for the college team senior night--next week
as for decorations--one thing our school did for football decorations was that they made "garland" it was made up of shapes helmets, footballs, stars, jerseys all were about the size of half a sheet of paper--they were all laminated and strung up on bungies and hooked up to the fence as you walked it--so colorful the jerseys had numbers on them but not names which was good to re-use year to year--also each family paid for a helmet out of corrugated plastic with player name and number on it--those were also on the fence as you walked in
I dont "do" football, but I work the concessions for athletics- starting I think last year they dont do senior night on the last game--they do it at the first -I forgot why but the reason they gave me made lots of sense--LOL
The banners with their names--
we always had the boys present their Moms with carnations (they were asked to go on the field with the boys and names were announced at half time--these were the large mum like carnations) The parents had buttons with their kids pictures on them
If they have any pictures of them if they played when they were little--we did a poster and then a power point of the boys pictures---
Food--have cookie mom or focadima make some awesome football cookies with their names on them---
Decorate where ever you are having it with your team colors and football themes--like the goal posts--and the football field---you can set the table up with lines for each yard line--have drinks at certain points--and use cute sayings--like first and ten do it again---different cheers
You can ask the cheer leaders to perform or the dance team to perform a dance just for the seniors--maybe have a way to incorporate them into the dance routine
Maybe look up super bowl snacks-or super bowl party ideas--and use those as food ideas
I know years ago we were able to get OUTBACK to donate the food--they came and set up a bbq and did it all for free. Not sure if they still do things like that, they would say that they can only do a school once or twice
