Been looking at a list of freeware/shareware screenshot software and it's all too confusing, so....... I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend one which is user friendly with plenty of features. Cost is not really an issue, it's more about the functionality for me, cheers hh. :dizzy:

i use the printscreen button usually (copies the whole screen to the clipboard, alt+prntscreen copies the active window)

but irfanview does a good job with some more options, too

i also generally use printscreen but i recommend irfanview as well and paintshop pro (not a ss util but has it built in with many options)

I use the Printscreen key too. Ctrl-PrtSc copies the entire screen to the clipboard, and Alt-PrtSc copies the active window. And then I hit CTRL-V to paste the image to Paint or Irfanview. :)

Well,.... narrowed it down between Snagit 7.1 or Capture pro 5.08.
Snagit scored the PC mag's editors choice so reckon I'll give it try.
Hoping to speed up the whole animated GIF making process :)

Irfanview is great...I use it all the time...

It is THE image viewer/manipulator to use. Simple, easy, and packed full of features.
