2 inmates escaped in tinley park and no warning

It's unbelievable the schools in the area wern't notified right away. I know most schools have been on high alert this week after the shootings - Both elementary and HS had a squad car just parked in the lot this week by us??
 
I just got a call from our school in mokena from the superintendent on my home phone and cell number that the school is on a safety hold because of the two inmates and that dismissal is the same but police will be on seen.thank you,it is kind of scary
 
All the high schools in D230 are on soft lockdown.

One is in Tinley but the other 2 are not near at all. Better safe than sorry though.

I got an email from St Michael's saying the elementary school is on soft lockdown, and an automated phone call from Sandburg HS... it IS odd that we didn't get a call from the police dept... we usually do :9:

Mokena as in elementary school or as in high school "close" to Mokena. My dd is at North.
 
We live just a few miles east of there. I just locked my doors. Although I'd double dog either of them to come in here. :hurt: Still I was going to send DD18 to Walgreens & Jewel for some stuff & I told her to forget it.

The fact that the one guy robbed the bank in Homewood is a little unnerving, since he obviously knows the area. I told DD18 not to go out to dinner in TP tonight, as she had planned & she said she wouldn't, while rolling her eyes at me, which means she will. :surrender:
 
Oak Forest was on lock down....I did not even know about it...we did get a call that a house was on fire right by the school and were told that streets were closed off by the high school....found out by reading the local news that a woman died in the fire and a man was found unconscious on the porch....then found out that this was DD friend's mother. Her friend has been to our house...such a sweet girl. No news on how her father is...he was transferred to Christ Hospital...this poor family. :cry1:....I pray that they don't lose their father too.... DD has not come home from school yet, she called me crying...I am sure she is with her friends trying to make sense of this.
 
I can't believe they haven't caught these guys yet! Nor can I believe they had a NINE HOUR jump on the prison guards...nor can I believe that in 9 hours they only made it as far as Tinley Park. :dunce:

My doors are locked today & I told DD14 if for some reason they wander into her HS she is to immediately wedge her little body into the nearest crevice.
 
I came in to work this morning and found out that the 2 scumbags that escaped were tracked by blood hounds to New Lenox via the metra. I work 1/2 block from that station and they had helicopters all over this area for hours yesterday late afternoon into the evening.

New Lenox and probably Manhattan, Orland peeps should probably exercize extra caution. These guys are going to get desperate and get cornered and do something stupid and some innocent is going to get hurt.

just ran into the yougest kane at michaels, she said one of the convicts
went to his sisters house ( on cedar 3 doors down from coop's) . Sister gave him money and a change of clothing and left.

you can always count on your big sister when you break out of jail.

One of them still has over a half a million bucks that hasn't been recovered yet. If you can get out a 5 inch wide window, how come you couldn't arrange to have access to that money and be far far away by now? :9:

Not that I'm condoning that, but geez if you are the first in 3 decades to manage the feat of getting out of there you are obviously somewhat smart and resourceful (despite being a convicted bank robber :lol:) so how does your plan fall apart that you take a cab out of the loop and go to TP? Unless the "cash" she gave him was his stash of bank money.

Cathy lives on Cedar? Nice to know these psychos are hanging out right where I spend my days working...son of a @#$%.
