    If your in the NW suburbs Self Help Pantry on Algonquin and Wolf in DP takes donations. Also the Methodist church across from the library operates a soup kitchen called Bessie's Table. I think they take donations too.

    Thank you. I would think there is a need because I'm in Des Plaines and on a limited income so I have used the local services. The local ones always have long lines. Willow Creek is the best but it's hard to get to by bus. Anyway will probably be going to WI sometime this year, too high rent...

    There is also a really good health food store I believe on County Farm and Geneva? or Rosevelt? rd. in Winfield. You go south of the intersection and in the 7-11 plaza you'll find it. They have alot of free magazines and a library of books to sell.
