A lot of the site alerts can be shut off by the member within your profile.

Just uncheck the ones you don't want to see.
Some I can shut off in the settings. Like when you make a post or thread. This will shut them off for everyone. But it will still log the event.
My question is, which alerts do people want and which alerts don't you want?
