an adult female who daily talks to a psychic healer, utilizes tarot cards and may have mentioned on facebook that she is dabbling in witchcraft? This is not me but a soon to be exSIL.
I won't think of her once it is over but she is making my brother and their kids life hell with lies and manipulations to get the most financial bang that she can from the divorce. My brother was blind to a lot of her issues(stupid love) and now is getting kicked in the gut daily. He is worried about the kids being raised by her alone if he isn't able to get joint or total custody, which is unlikely. since kids most often go to the mom for custody, even if she is a lying sack of psycho ****.
He just informed me of the psychic healer and the tarot cards when she filed for divorce. I don't know anyone else who uses either platform seriously in real life and so I don't have an educated opinion on them. I know I will get some varied opinions from CW and maybe use that information to move forward. As far as the facebook mention of witchcraft, another brother told me of that. I am not on facebook so I haven't had access to that juicy reading.
To be honest, the psychic healer makes me look askance mainly just because of the expense that I would assume it entails. The tarot stuff and the "witchcraft" I honestly wouldn't read that much into--I own a couple tarot decks and used to know how to do a reading and most of the people I have known who other people described as "into witchcraft" were characterized by widely disparate levels of involvement in Wicca, which for most people that I have known amounted more to earth-mothery hippy-dippy stuff than anything dark or satanic.
It is. He is the only one working. She chooses not to work and refuses to discuss a budget. The expense of the psychic healer led them to the argument that led her to file.
The biggest issue I can see with this is does her "hobby" keep her from caring for her children? Not only in the sense of does she ignore them because she is so engrossed in it but will she care for their physical needs properly as well...making breakfast, lunch, dinner...taking them for clothes etc. I think that would be one of the biggest concerns. But that is just my 2 cents. I don't think it's weird that people do tarot reading or whatnot...just so long as it doesn't consume their lives.
