My first personal computer was a laptop. I have never owned a desktop, I have been using a laptop for more than 12 years. I bought a laptop because of its portability, I also bought a laptop because I could use it without electricity for a couple of hours. However, currently, I am thinking to purchase a desktop because I work from home and I don't travel frequently.
I have access to both a desktop computer and a laptop but at the moment, my laptop is coming up for being 9 years old nearly and it is starting to get old. Some of the keys on the keyboard either do not register or double register when I click them making typing on it very difficult for me so I spend a lot more time on my desktop PC now than my laptop. I would like to get a new laptop at some point so I have the option of being somewhere else when working but for now, a PC is my better option.
I like the Desktop. We also have a Laptop that is wonderful for when we go to my parents so we don’t have to use my mom’s computer while we are visiting. I don’t like using it long term however. The desktop has my ergonomic keyboard so my wrists tend to hurt when I use any other keyboard, especially a small one.
