Hey everyone, I noticed quite a lot of people on here have websites and hence have hosting of some kind. I appreciate there have already been a couple of threads related to this, but if you get chance to answer some of my questions, I'd be grateful.

If you do have hosting...
Who with and if you don't mind me asking, what plan do you have? Would you be interested in swapping if you got a better offer... If so, tell me what sort of plan you would prefer. What would be your biggest must-have in a web hosting deal? Really good up-time, cheapness, quality support, high amounts of space? Please just let me know and if you can, name your ideal (but realistic) hosting plan.

If you don't have hosting...
Do you have a website that needs hosting? If not, would you like to make one but don't know where to start? Perhaps you're thinking of making a forum of some kind, if so, let me know as I may be able to help you.

Any information sort of related to the above would be really helpful with a project I'm doing, and I'll probably be able to help you out. Just let me know!
 
I got Shared Hosting from Web Hosting Fox
I am currently on Plan 2 which gives you 10GB of Disk Space and 100GB of Bandwidth, you can check the rest here - http://webhostingfox.com/shared/

I think it's great and I recommend using it, you rarely see any downtime and the support is probably the best one you can get.

Ha, although I'd be happy to offer you some free forum hosting (as I have some unused space to share), I'm not sure how willing you'd be to convert to a completely new software. On the other hand, if you're interested as you clearly aren't too happy with Freeforums, let me know.
 
oh no thanks. i am happy with it, it just isn't the best and some of the things on it are quite annoying, but it's good enough for me :D thanks for the offer ;)

Fair enough guys, but no point settling for something if you can get better, so the offer still stands if you ever want it. ;)

Downtime on a site isn't good, you might not notice it but you are turning away any incoming visitors and that can damage your site. Uptime is one of the most important things to look for when buying web hosting.

I started developing my very own free website, which is still under construction...:drool:
But I've launched my web..
000webhost is hosting my web for free..
But you are bound to use free web hosting ...
some scripts are not allowed in your web pages, if you are hosting your web for free...

Yeah, I'm currently using 000webhost for my hosting. I was using Wordpress.com for a free blog, but it lacked custom themes and other options.
