Do/did you like wearing a uniform at school or do/did you prefer to wear your own casual clothes to school? When I was at school I had to wear a uniform and at the time it was annoying because of all the rules, it did make things easier overall.

Not having to decide what to wear every day and also not worrying that people would look different meant that it was something I didn't need to worry about. I will say though that the rules that were enforced as to how you had to wear things was tough and not always comfortable.

I think it's easy to look back and think about what you liked or didn't like about it now that it doesn't matter.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a uniform to school. I did it till high school and it was one of the ways that everyone feel equal at school. As a student, you know that there is no difference amongst students once everyone is on same uniform.

I liked having to wear school uniform as it means that everyone looks the same so there is no need to bully or single people out for what they're wearing or their fashion sense. It is also a lot easier to get dressed in the morning because you don't have to plan what outfit you want to wear.

Wearing uniforms is something which is normal in UK. I had to wear a uniform through primary and secondary school. I didn't have to wear one when I got to college. I found that difficult as having to choose what to wear can be difficult as you are conscious people will judge you based on what you wear. Uniform removes this risk of judgement.

Wearing a uniform is a good thing because it helps identity which school you go to so in public people have some kind of means of knowing who you are. I've had a few instances of children causing problems out of school in uniform and you can then complain to the school. As a child it also means that you don't need to worry about being different because everyone looks the same.
