My neighbor is the nicest guy in the world but a lot naive. He rented one apartment to a contractor. They have been trouble since day one. The contractor thought he could run a roofing business out of the garage. WRONG! Its a super quiet area and everyone likes it that way around here.

So as I see all these contractor trucks day in and day out my anger got bigger. The owner only seemed to care about the rent until all his other tenants started complaining loudly.

I took a bunch of pictures and went to a town meeting where i made sure the Mayor, Police Chief and the Town Lawyer saw the pictures. When nothing was done, I ended up sending the pictures again via email to the Mayor, only then did the "warehouse" get shut down. Pays to know people I tell you.

So the owner in his broken English tells me I don't want you guys being mad at me anymore. I am not going to renew their lease. Well that was in June. He had to go to court to evict them and the Judge gave them til November 30th to leave. Well today there is a big moving truck in the driveway. We will all be happy once they are finally out of there and the owner changes all the locks! Yay!!!!!

The upstairs tenants next door and I are so happy to see this day come. The woman, Maggie is a complete NUTTER. She messed with me once. She never did again once she found out that I do not sit back and let myself be bullied by her ****!

BTW this is the girl I always mention that doesn't realize her BF/husband (she lies about everything) is GAY.

I hate when all it takes is one bad neighbor to ruin a good block. If he had to evict, that means they weren't paying, which means he lost $, which hopefully means he'll pick a better one the next time.

Hopefully, the upstair's neighbor's daughter will be moving in. Once Maggie found that out she refused to leave.

Yes, they had issues paying the rent. Even before they forced them into housing court they where told to start looking for a place they could afford. I think Maggie took the kid and a few things. The truck was here for exactly one hour. I think the contractor still has stuff in the garage.

The owner gets possession at midnight. I'm sure he will be here first thing changing the locks and getting the apartment ready for someone else. There is no for rent sign out so I think the upstairs daughter will be moving in in January. It's a win win because they are nice respectful people.

My excitement fizzled when the owner's wife called me asking me if anyone what at the house still. I told her Maggie had a moving truck but she came back probably to clean.

The bad news is that contractor boy *my lovie name for him* has chosen to say to the owners, **** off I'm staying and I am not going to pay you for staying here. Umm yeah **** if that is the case then you are getting a visit from the sheriff's office.

Anyone ever see anyone get evicted?? I've only seen it once in the 31 years of living here. Should be interesting. My DH is sickened by the whole thing. I am too. You know no one wants to see that happen but when you don't pay you don't stay.
