Do you think testing things on animals is a good thing or do you think it should be out right banned everywhere? I personally think testing on animals generally is wrong but I think there are some exceptions such as mice that get tested on for medicine development.
I think testing things like makeup on animals is cruel and should be banned, but I think medicines that are trying to be developed to cure illnesses and deseases is okay because there is a need to ensure we can beat / cure things to stop others from being ill.
I think it's not a very black and white thing. It depends on the context for me personally.
I don't agree with animal testing of cosmetics and self care products as I think that these are not treatments that people need to live healthy lives neccesarily so I don't think its right to make animals suffer for the sake of make up or shampoo for example.
I do however think that it is needed to have animal testing as a clinical trial stage for medication as this is more justifiable.
I hate the idea of animals suffering and wish animal testing wasn't a thing. Surely with how advanced science is now there must be an alternative that can be used other than animal testing. What gives us humans the right to hurt and put animals through pain for our benefit, it feels like an abuse of out powers.
I don't think we need to be testing on animals, I honestly think we should test on humans who are in jail for murder or for other serious crimes. They are just going to sit in jail for a long time anyways, and animals are innocent while those people are evil. Plus they'd would get better accurate test results too, since the subject would be a human.
Human beings would have never come this far without being cruel towards animals. Medical science is heavily dependent on animal testing. Without animal testing, we would have never developed generic drugs and life-saving drugs. Animal testing is ok for medical research. Animal testing is debatable in the cosmetic industry, but would human beings, especially women, survive without makeup?
I honestly feel like testing on animals needs to be reduced. And another thing is that when the animals are properly treated we keep the balance for the animals in that case. Something we learn from the nature that we should not interfere with other animals life if we have no control over our own self.
I have never been someone who has ever thought that testing on animals is right. I think it is awful that some companies will still choose the option of testing their products on animals rather than looking for other ways to test their products that do not harm something so innocent. I always look on labels for things in stores to ensure that they are not tested on animals and I will steer clear of products that do.
It is important to understand that testing comestics on animal is wrong, morally. However, it is something that they are not willing to stop. I think maybe it is as a result of having limited alternatives for such tests.
The truth is that animals have always been a test run specie for the development of modern medical science. Everything in life is a trade off and the animals in this game instance are the collateral damage for medical advancements.
