Smart glasses and the future

What are your thoughts on smart glasses in the future? Do you think that they will take off like smart watches have in society or do you think they'll be a flop? I am not so sure about the smart glasses just yet and how they'll do in business.

I know that they will be popular at the beginning because it would be new tech for people to play with, but in the long term I don't think people will adopt them as easily as other things. Normal glasses are a must for some with bad eyesight, I think that alone would make them very expensive.

I am excited to see what happens in the market in the next few years as AR/VR is already quit popular amongst the tech crowd.

I feel as though smart glasses are kind of just like VR goggles really. I know they're obviously not exactly the same but the technology must be similar and so I wonder how far away we are from having smart glasses.

It would be very useful for navigation and finding out where you need to go. I also think it would be cool for video phone calls too.
