I have learned that in the world of development is something called open source projects that are basically things that have been developed by a community of people for free so other people can use the technology.
It sounds like a great way to give back to other members of the development community. Open source means that the source code is free and open to use and build upon yourself. It's cool because it means people can work together and solve problems with software that people don't need to pay for.
