TOKYO, Aug. 24 — Nintendo finally gave the world a glimpse of GameCube, the mystery 128-bit game console formerly known as Dolphin. Shaped like one of those CD-playing alarm clocks and playing games on eight-centimeter mini-DVDs, Nintendo’s new game looks like it will stack up well against Sega’s Dreamcast, Sony’s PlayStation 2 and Microsoft’s forthcoming X-Box.
