I'm trying to give the post details a different background color, but I can't nest the divs correctly, i will give the link in the cbox ... here is my code:

To change the background of the whole post (with the actual posted message and the poster details) you change this line (i mean the color) in the colours.css file:

.bg2	{ background-color: #e1ebf2;  }

Is that what you want to do?
 
Then try the same file and find this:

	color: #666666;
	border-left-color: #FFFFFF;
}
And add in a line for the background:

background-color: #000000;
