I have been asked by my local food pantry to try to find the best deals on items they give to the local families in need. I donate stuff there that is how they know I'm a good shopper. They asked me to shop for them with funds from the food pantry.

If you sell stockpile items (not only food) please PM me a list of those items, quantity of each, exp dates and the prices you are selling them for. They are looking for all items and even a small amount of anything would help.

They said they need make up, shampoo, shaving cream, baby wash, body wash etc... and food items.

I have been asked to try to get healthier cereal, snacks and other food because most of the stuff they get is kind of junky. Also exp dates that are months out would be best.

I thought asking couponers would be a great way to get items at a good price and help the couponers sell their stockpiles.

I am in the Wauconda, Lake Zurich, Barrington area and would rather not drive far. If you have and questions please ask!

Thank you!

Come again? Make up? Why would a food pantry provide make up? Do they help women's groups like abused women get jobs or something? Just curious.
And for the money bars of soap would be a lot cheaper me thinks.

Good luck finding what you need and good job helping out. :)

They said make up but I said body wash. Anything used to clean your body would be great.

The pantry I "worked" in had a cart full of non-food items like make-up, shampoo, conditioner, contact lens stuff, etc. The clients were able to choose 2 (or sometimes 3 in a good month) items from the cart with their monthly pick-up.

I donated a ton of Clairol hair color that I got free (well, except for that damned high tax) at Family Dollar; when you are living that close to the edge, you can't afford to spend the money of something frivolous, but it does make a huge difference in your confidence...

If you are buying any of the GG veggies I have some coupons 4/1.00 that exp. 11/7 LMK I will RAOK some to you :)

Thank you for the offer :-). The food pantry has a large amount of canned veggies right now.

They said that most donations are only canned veggies. They need more cleaning products, paper products, baby items, personal hygiene items, beauty items, oil, canned fruit, healthy snacks and cereal.
