Has anyone ever used books as a means of learning to code? There is so many books available out there that are supposed to be good for learning to code and I've tried a few of them but I've never gotten along with books very well.
I find that I learn best whilst I try and code something but I've not gotten very far because it's hard to find consistently good source material. I think books are good for a foundational understanding but beyond that I think online tutorials are better. What are people's thoughts on using books for coding guides / tutorials?
