Sick photographs show the haul of an alleged underwear thief who stashed 600 items of lingerie in his apartment.

Police found the lingerie in the home of 25-year-old Shoya Imada, who was arrested on suspicion of breaking into a woman’s flat in Japan to steal panties.

During the investigation, unemployed Imada was accused of assaulting a woman and ripping off her underwear as she walked along the street in Nankoku.

He allegedly tried to suffocate the woman, aged in her 20s, before fleeing the scene, it was reported by The Tokyo Reporter.

Used knickers are apparently all the rage in Japan, and you can even buy worn underwear from special vending machines.

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU JAPAN

Wow, and I thought the vending machines in the United States didn't have enough variety... I'd like to keep it that way now.

Reading this made me queasy... Exactly why I refuse to walk out at midnight.
