iOS public beta testing

Has anyone ever joined the iOS public beta testing programme before? I used to be a part of it and loved testing the new features on upcoming iOS devices but I stopped taking part over the past year or so as they've gotten less and less stable.

I find that the public beta testing programme is a great way to prepare yourself for what's to come ahead of the usual September launches. When was the last time you took part in a public beta test for iOS?

I wouldn't bother trying to sign up to the public beta because I wouldn't want my daily driver to get bricked from a bad update. I'm sure it would be fine but it's one of those things I just wouldn't want to risk. Besides, if you can wait just a little bit longer, the final release will come out in like four months time.
