ever come up with something wacky out of desperation, or availability of ingredients?
once upon a time i was at my friend's house and we were drinking gin and tonics. well we ran out of tonic water, and none of us were in any condition to go get more (plus it is hard to find in that area). so we ended up using Fresca. The success of using Fresca way back when lead me to even attempt my drink of the night: Lime Twisted Gin and Mountain Dew. :lol:
That reminds me of in school, during the fraternity rush one year. Rush was required to be dry. But at the house I used to hang out at, there was a table with bottles of Coke...one area was labeled "Special Coke" and had vodka poured into the Coke bottle.
Yecccch was it gross. But, it did the job I guess...
The night started out with putting vodka in the tang, but became putting tang in the vodka. The night degenerated from the beginning; it was a long night that included dancing at a club, body shots, and alcoholic uno. For those who don't know, I'm like most typical self-concious men that never dance in public (unless they have a good buzz going).
One of the local bartenders here came up with this for me, he called it an Eyeopener. It HAS to be made in this order.
Vodka
Lemonade schnapps
Peach schnapps
OJ
Squirt of 7-up

You mix it in a tall glass. If it is made just right, the bottem 3-4 inches stays clear, and it is very hard to mix up.
It is my favorite of all time, but a Cherry vodka coke comes in at a very close second.
I drink Diet Coke. One night, a few of us were out, and someone made me a Diet Coke and rum. First of all, I'm not a big fan of rum (or any other strong flavored alcohol for the most part). And mixing it with Diet Coke was just that much worse. Oh..and Pepsi and rum. One of my ex-bfs made it for me..half Pepsi, half rum. I was dizzy for the rest of the night. Blech.
Jin and Juice was pretty nasty, in my opinion. I did like the various Rum and Coke, Screwdrivers, and Burbon and Coke. For a tasty treat, I like mudslides. It's like a frosty...with a kick.
well, another thing that is "interesting" that relates to alcohol. although it isn't a mixed drink. most people find it appalling that i drink jagermeister warm straight outta the bottle.
