my school's basically populated by a group of idiots.. before napster.. no one but me and my friend knew what .mp3's were.. however.. last yr the word that napster was around got out.. and our school's bandwidth got flooded cuz of napster traffic.. we banned it last semester and bandwidth usage dropped 65%.. they switched ips during the summer so we had to ban it again in Nov.. bandwidth usage dropped 75%.. (we have 6T1's for 2200 students).. so i've been enjoying a fairly good ping for my online gaming and web surfing...
here's my rant.. the admin's pushing to unban napster cuz of all these idiots ****ing.. their *solution* is to install a bandwidth shaper that limits traffic (dunno if it's by protocol or file extension) from 7AM-5PM then let these idiots run rampant after that.. i don't wanna go back to the days where CNN took literally 3-4mins to load.. where i could've had a better ping on a 56K then on the 6T1's.. @#$@##$@#.. ****s.. need someone to DOS napster..
oh.. forgot.. next semester's basically going to be pretty easy.. thus i had planed lots of hours dedicated to playing games.. (the surrounding town's population is 4000 people.. so going out isn't an option
