You're pretty much done if you ever get Alzheimers, I don't know any direct family members, but some distance members got it and they became lost in the past and knew nothing of the present.

My mom has it. She still knows family members, but a lot of other memory is gone with the wind. Anyway, I hope it doesn't progress worse, but I've heard scary stories of just that. It's stories of people forgetting their kids and spouse etc..

Best thing to do is to keep her thinking, keep her mind working. If she doesn't use her mental abilities, it is sure to only get worse.

That's definitely not happening. She's at her own home with little social contact. She would need memory care, but that's so expensive.

It's such a horrible disease she will probably have to sell her house and land to pay for treatment. I mean, if only we knew what foods and stuff caused it. I mean, not everyone in her family got it. Her brother, for instance, doesn't have it.

Note: As a person of faith, I suspect it might be some spiritual thing.
