It's really terrifying when a dog bit you. Our neighbors' dog has bitten a kid. She was rushed to the hospital to avoid having rabies. I haven't bitten by a dog and I'm hoping it won't happen in the future. You can die for having rabies or even be mentally ill. They say that if ever you have bitten though you got the treatment right away it may occur after many years so it's important to have a checkup with a doctor once in a while.

Have you had bad experienced encountering dogs? Have you ever been bitten?
 
Nope, as a kid though my brother got attacked by the neighbors dog. It pulled him to the ground and tore up his jeans. I don't remember it well, but my dad had sent that dog howling back home. lol XD
 
In the olden days, a person who is bitten by a dog is given 25 shots of anti-rabies medication. That’s 25 days of agony. My sister’s husband was bitten by their dog just last year and although they think that their dog is clean, he had to have the shots, 15 this time. Better safe than sorry. That’s why it is important for dog owners to have the vaccination shots of their dogs up to date. In case the dog bites, it will spare the person of the painful anti-rabies shots. Not to forget, he was also given an anti-tetanus shot for good measure.

I got bit by two bats two summers ago. Got rabies shots, a bunch of them. Wasn't fun, but wasn't a big deal to me.
 
i was about 5 when my aunts dog Loui bit me it never put me off dogs for life but made me more aware to ask other people first before petting their dogs as i knew all dogs where not as pleasant as my own lol
 
I was bitten by one on Saipan. It was unexpected. Anyway, though, it was nothing like being bit by a snake. I was bitten by one as a child picking potatoes.

yeah i reckon if it was poisonous then you would know about it by now lol. :P I remember i had a snake when i was younger and it bit me quite a few times, but it was only small but still was painful, so wouldn't fancy getting bitten of a bigger one. :P
