I get an email saying *Get Instant Traffic to Your Website*. Are these things for real. Or would anyone who falls for it get ripped off?

The one I got today was from Add More Traffic

8000+ visitors for 22.00

And will this lead to new sign ups to the site?

This seems to be a shady deal so I'd avoid it. Note, it's cheap cause it's either bots - which are literally not human, or it's some low-quality traffic source. However, though, there are sometimes exceptions to the rule perhaps among adult or gambling traffic.

Traffic is not signups. You won't get ANY conversions from it.

This is what is meant by "low quality". It's simply trash traffic, not worth a penny. In fact, the only real profit will go to the scam artists selling it. Anyway, that's why education in marketing is so important. It's a jungle out there.
