I love them both. But having 12 dogs now, yeah you could say that I love dogs more. It requires a lot of work and attention compared to taking care a cat who is more independent but it gives me fulfillment everytime I see them happy, playful and healthy. My family treats them as members of our family as well.
Almost all, at least once, you have heard your dog lover friend say a phrase like this: "The cat is tied to the house, the dog to the owner. So the dog is better! " On the other hand your cat lover friend would have answered surely: "The cat is self-sufficient while the dog, without the owner, can not even do the needs. So the cat is better! "
Regarding the ability to solve problems: although they are very intelligent cats tend not to perform the tasks that are assigned to them. Their independent nature pushes them to take no interest in the problems that do not concern them. The dog, who instead is a master in the resolution of the tasks, wins the fourth heat without problems. Training and coaching to the man for the most different purposes: the dog can be trained and joined to the man for a myriad of purposes such as rescues, searches for missing, guard, anti-drug operations and so on. The cat for its laziness instead has a utility more related to the well-being of the person. For example, stroking a cat reduces stress and hypertension. But given the commitment that puts the dog this heat can only go to him. So in my opinion dogs are better than cats.
Dogs and cats are both adorable and sweet, but for me I like dogs because of some reasons like; dogs are loyal and a dog's sense of smell can be useful in some circumstances. Moreover, I think even if there is no reason, I can say that I just love dogs.
I feel once cats get older they eventually just sit away in their own space and mind their own business more, when had my own cat, sometime it felt as if i never had one because never seen him for long time lol, this was never the case with my old dog.
