OK I used to live in Upstate NY, Amsterdam actually. While I was ther ei used to listen in the morning to a talk radio show hosted by a guy named Don Weeks. Not sure if I spelled his name right, but he used to mention and have as a caller sometimes a woman who supposed knew a lot of secret recipes. Her name was Gloria Pfister (again not sure of the spelling), the Secret Recipe Lady. I am pretty sure she had a published cookbook, and maybe even had a website, but her thing was figuring out or finding out how to make things that you could buy in restaurants, chains, or whatever, but not just buy in a grocery store. They were things like KFC chicken, or Orange Julius drinks, or Fridays Jalapeno Poppers, etc. But I cant remember how to get to her recipes. Anyone else heard of her or know anything about it?
