If I accidentally capitalize a Gmail address, like for example if someone's Gmail address is tom.smith@gmail.com and I accidentally write it and send it as John.smith@aol.com

Will he still get my email message?Or do i need to resend it in all lower cases?

So this means that john.smith@gmail.com would get the email message even if I did capitalize the t in his Gmail address?

psSomeone texted me there Gmail to my cellphone and only the first letter of there first name was capitalized, there second or last name was not capitalized. Could this be because cellphones and smartphones possibly might automatically capitalize the first letter of a sentence? There was also a dot separating the first and second/last name.

You can capitalize all the letters in the first part of the email address and it will still get to the same person. And yes, smartphones will always capitalize the first letter of a sentence.

No at all, they are never case sensitive. What you do need to be very careful about would be not to make any mistakes in the letters, otherwise it's getting bounced back as a wrong address.

I think that when you even type it in caps lock, when they deliver, it still reverts back to lower cases. It was a good thing that it's not case sensitive, otherwise a lot of users will be having serious problems with their emails.

As others have said in this thread, email addresses are never case sensitive so you should be fine to capitalise letters by mistake without an issue. Even Gmail addresses allow for the addition of periods in an address and they'll still get to the recipient as Gmail ignores those. So for example johnsmith@gmail.com is the same as john.smith@gmail.com.
