    Harlem shake videos??

My kids are pretty good. None of them have a license yet, and way too far to walk to a store! I can't believe this, though. Look at all the product getting ruined. Things falling off shelves, they were in the greeting card aisle--there goes the whole bottom row of cards! I agree with...

    Harlem shake videos??

I asked my kid's and they said that is so yesterday. They said the big hit now is gallon smashing. I looked it up on YouTube and told them I'd be kicking some butt if they ever did this. Here's one

    What's For Dinner?

DS15 is making dinner. Trying to give him more life skills and responsibilities. His menu is cheeseburgers, fries, cantaloupe, chocolate shakes, and brownies with hot fudge sauce for dessert. Maybe a little overkill on the chocolate. But, I don't have to make dinner! :cartwheel:

    Teachers/Parents- Reading Lexile

Dragonfly, no, there is nothing on the book itself to identify Lexile. The best reference is the Lexile website itself--www.lexile.com. If a particular book does not show up, you can put in text from the book, and it will calculate a Lexile # for you. Some teachers in our district have had...

Kid Parties: Gift or No Gift?

Okay, so my daughter (Kindgergarten, age 5) has been to 3 birthday parties in the last 4 weeks, and is going to another one in 2 weeks. The first one was a dear friend of mine, and had it at a jump place. The kids she invited were all kids from our social circle, so all the parents stayed, in...

Kid Parties: Gift or No Gift?

Oh, and I always bring a present, but if a kid doesn't I don't mind. My oldest has only invited his two close friends the last several years and we do an activity/dinner/sleepover. One of them did not bring a present a couple years in a row. His parents had just gone through a divorce. The...

$.10 Fuel Rewards for 40 MCR pts

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it. Since I no longer drink pop, but my mom keeps giving me the Coke rewards, I thought this was a good way to spend them. 40 pts. = $.10/gal on fuelrewards.com. Once you purchase the reward on MCR, you will be given a code, that you...

    Labels for education and bonus

KMJ - I am our school's coordinator, and it is the UPC code you need. Even if it is not yet marked as a Labels for Education product, it is still acceptable, per the LFE website.

Need creative (?) idea for 1st birthday (boy) present

Books! Never can have enough. You said creative. I love the "sushi socks". What little one couldn't use more socks! If you make them yourself, it would be a fairly inexpensive and easy item to throw in with something else.
